Anna Roberts

Anna Roberts MRICS, is the founder and Chief Executive of Explorage.com, the only site where customers can find self storage availability and prices from 100’s of local storage facilities and book it instantly.

With a firm belief in treating people as people first, Anna has embedded these values into Explorage.com, who are on a mission to make life easier for people. Anna shares, “Life is too short. We are all humans just trying to get on and be happy. Ease, convenience and compassion are key in serving customers who just want to get sorted and get on with their lives. Tech is just the enabler.”

Anna has been pivotal in transforming the self storage industry through technology and an easy user experience. With a keen focus on customer satisfaction and industry innovation, she has led Explorage.com to secure significant backing and recognition from both the industry and the press. Source

Anna continues, “Technology, services, products; they should all be human centred with sustainable foundations to leave a positive legacy for future generations”.

Her leadership and commitment to continuous learning and development, has also been recognised, and she practises what she preaches with her team. “When I talk about making life easier, that includes everyone I interact with, our team and our suppliers included. Each team member at Explorage.com completes a profiling exercise called DiSC. It’s a great tool for nurturing positive communication between colleagues and management. When people feel heard, valued and respected, productivity and creativity increases.”

Prior to founding Explorage.com Anna worked as a Chartered Surveyor. Her passion for property and business perfectly blended as she managed construction teams on projects up to £45m. She also has a keen interest in Building Pathology. Her own surveying practise has gained respect and recommendation and before creating it she was part of the corporate world, most recently working for JLL in Manchester.

As a child Anna demonstrated entrepreneurial flair raising money for her local park at the age of 7 by setting up a stall at the bus stop and rallying her friends. Anna always sees the best in people and believes that anyone who has the courage to take action can make a huge difference with the right intentions and resilience.
